CLUB MEDicine presented by the Small Animal Medicine team from Murdoch University Veterinary Hospital , will offer topics of relevant and practical interest. These evenings cost $55 per person and allow you to achieve 2 AVA Vet Ed points per evening.

The topics for 2009 include

During each day, the students will be given a glimpse of the life of a vet student.
Various presenters will provide information about numerous career paths after graduation.

“The eye - the window to the body”

 Feline herpesvirus and its role in ocular

and upper respiratory tract disease

Learning objectives

In the morning learn about Feline herpesvirus and its role in ocular and upper respiratory tract disease, and then spend the afternoon on multiple case based discussions. 

The aims of this course are to provide practitioners with the latest information on the role of feline herpesvirus in acute and chronic ocular and nasal disease of the cat, focusing on advances in diagnostic testing and anti-viral therapy.  In addition, the practitioner will gain insight into the utility of the ophthalmic examination in identifying multi-systemic diseases including hypertension, infectious diseases and neoplasia.
