Physiology & Pharmacology at Murdoch University
Welcome
Physiology and Pharmacology at Murdoch University has grown dramatically over the last few
years, with the addition of new staff to teach growing student numbers. We teach a diverse array of students; in
addition to veterinary, biomedical and chiropractic students, students
enrolled in many other courses also undertake physiology units as undergraduates.
In terms of research, we bring together a broad range of skills and
techniques. The section encompasses staff with interests in nutrition, muscle physiology, reproduction,
thermoregulation, osmoregulation, neuroscience, and welfare. We work on wildlife and domestic species, but also encompass
medical research. Much of our research is strongly linked in with other teams within the department,
as well as with researchers both nationally and internationally.
