RSPCA Australia Scholarships for animal welfare
research
Two Scholarships are available through the RSPCA Australia to encourage
students to take an active interest in animal welfare issues and to support
animal welfare research.
They are:
RSPCA Australia Alan White Scholarship for Animal Welfare Research
of $7000 for original research aimed at improving the welfare of animals in
Australia.
RSPCA Australia Scholarship for Humane Animal Production Research
of $7000 for individual research projects - this includes any livestock animal
but projects relating to alternative housing and husbandry systems for pigs
and poultry are particularly encouraged.

The Lorna Edith Murdoch University Veterinary
Trust Scholarship Veterinary Research
The Murdoch University Veterinary Trust is sponsoring a postgraduate research
scholarship for a student wishing to undertake research at Murdoch University
in areas related to Veterinary Science. Students enrolling in a PhD are eligible
to apply but the research topic must incorporate one of the following areas
of interest:
General animal health and disease
Fish health and disease
Carcass quality and meat hygiene in prime lambs and beef cattle
Molecular and Pathological studies of disease in wildlife
Applicants should hold a veterinary degree registrable in WA with at least
2A honours degree or equivalent.
Murdoch University offers excellent opportunities for postgraduate study in

Package: $23,000-$25,000 per annum (Tax Exempt) stipend with
a HECS free place for three years. Research and administrative support will
