David Miller BSc (Agric. Hons) UWA, PhD UWA 

Background:
David Miller graduated with a BSc in Agricultural Science from the University of WA (1991), and then undertook Doctoral studies in Animal Science at UWA before travelling to the UK for a 2-year postdoctoral position at the Reproductive Biology Unit of the Medical Research Council in Edinburgh. David then remained in the UK where he spent 8 years lecturing in animal physiology within the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Aberdeen and the Scottish Agricultural College (SAC).

Research Interests:
Include the physiology and environmental control of reproduction, appetite and body weight regulation in domesticated animals, with specific research interests including: 1) inappropriate energy balance and infertility;
2) effects of nutrition on early life programming; 3) endocrine and paracrine regulators of growth and function of cells, tissues and organs.

Teaching:
David teaches in the Veterinary, Biomedical and Animal Sciences courses.
