Research Summary
Phil obtained
his PhD in immunology from Murdoch University in 1994 and has since held
postdoctoral research fellowships at the University of Oxford, the University
of Western Australia and the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research,
where he is currently an honorary Senior Research Fellow. His main research interests are in
understanding the cellular basis of immune protection of the respiratory
tract and how this is disrupted during diseases such as allergic asthma and
following influenza virus infection.
He is also interested in the development of new drug therapies for the
treatment of immune mediated inflammatory and infectious disorders.
