Research Summary:

Una’s research interests are in the biomedical research area of infectious diseases.  She has over 60 publications and is an internationally recognised expert on the molecular epidemiology and detection of the protozoan parasite, Cryptosporidium.  She was awarded the Prime Minister’s Prize for Life Sciences in 2000 and is a member of the National Innovation Awareness Council.
