Graham Gardner BSc (Agric. Hons) UWA, PhD Murdoch
Background:
Graham is a relatively new member of staff, having defected from the University of New England in Armidale mid-2005. He mainly lectures in Biochemistry, Nutrition, and Toxicology. Graham’s research is predominantly focused on the impact of selection for growth, leanness and muscling within the sheep and cattle industries, looking at aspects of carbohydrate and intermediary metabolism, stress sensitivity, and growth and maturity, as well as the metabolic changes that take place in muscle. His work is predominantly funded by the Beef CRC, the Sheep CRC, and Meat and Livestock Australia. Graham also co-ordinates the postgraduate programs for the Beef and Sheep CRC’s.
